Babette Haddox, CMP* is the Founder & Owner of Event Connections – established in 1993. Babette’s experience spans 25+ years in the Meetings & Events industry. She developed a love for travel at an early age while growing up in Europe. She honed her interest and skills with a degree in Business and Travel and a career in the Hospitality industry. After working for nearly a decade as a Director of Sales & Catering for Hilton Hotels, she realized many of her clients were often overwhelmed or inexperienced with the demands of planning events and group travel. This problem inspired Babette to create Event Connections, a full-service Meeting & Event Planning company that offers professional, reliable, and personable services to anyone planning an event. Babette has planned hundreds of events – from Corporate Meetings & Luxury Retreats to International Conferences, Fund Raisers, Private Parties, Citywide Sporting Events, and Weddings. Her experience, passion for assisting her clients, and efficient management style are evident in her services and testimonials. For Babette, the key element of successful events is professional organization with creativity, attention to detail, and close relationships with her clients.

Gabrielle Haddox is our creative and talented Event Stylist who knows how to bring your Pinterest board to life and create that “wow factor” that will make your event distinctly yours! She was born with a creative spirit that has earned her awards over the years, including the Gold Key Award in high school and being named “Most Likely to Succeed” by her college peers. Through college, she interned for Anthropologie where she created storefront displays, designed a Mannequin for Hanes Brands, and created wedding dresses for Megan Kelly Wedding Designs. After graduating from college, she worked on the Fabric Design Team at Veronica Beard in Manhattan and is now a Design Specialist for Kontoor Brands! She loves helping brides on the weekends using her creative talents and experience to bring their visions to life making their event beautiful and unforgettable.
Barbara Smith MacNeil is a Collaborative Partner to Event Connections on various projects. As CEO of Connections Corporation, Barbara offers a wealth of experience in Meeting & Event Planning. Her career spans from her early, post-college work for Sheraton, Hilton, and Pebble Beach Resorts in Meetings & Sales to 25+ years in her independent firm. Barbara also enjoys modeling which has developed into many exciting opportunities in the Fashion industry. Barbara’s warmth and genuine concern for helping others are evident to all who know her, and we are excited to welcome Barbara to our team in 2021!
